LEE Chocolate has opened its first flagship store in Qatar, located on Al Luqta Street in Al Gharafa — a milestone in a brand legacy spanning more than eight decades. The story traces back to Aleppo, Syria, where the Sammani family entered the confectionery trade in 1910.
Jameel Sammani introduced chocolate-making to the Syrian market in 1939 from a small home-based workshop, and by 1947 the family had secured Aleppo's first official chocolate manufacturing license. Building on that legacy, Saad Sammani founded LEE Chocolate in 1990, merging generations of expertise with modern European production techniques.
The brand expanded regionally with a Dubai manufacturing facility in 2012, and in 2024 was awarded Best Chocolate Product at the ISM Middle East Awards among more than 500 exhibitors. The new Al Gharafa store showcases LEE Chocolate's signature recipes — including over 100 fillings and flavors — alongside a curated selection of luxury gift boxes and seasonal editions.
